Position Summary
The Manager, Engineering will lead a team of software engineers in designing, building, and maintaining scalable, secure, and high-performing applications that power Hansei’s revenue cycle management solutions. This role requires a hands-on leader who can balance technical depth with strong people management skills, ensuring timely delivery of innovative solutions aligned with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership:
- Manage and mentor a team of engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Conduct regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and career development planning.
- Project Delivery:
- Oversee the design, development, and deployment of software solutions, ensuring adherence to best practices in coding, testing, and security.
- Collaborate with Product Management to deliver features on time and within scope.
- Technical Strategy:
- Contribute to architectural decisions and technology roadmaps in alignment with Hansei’s strategic goals.
- Drive adoption of modern frameworks, cloud-native solutions, and automation tools.
- Quality & Compliance:
- Ensure solutions meet HIPAA, HITRUST, and other regulatory requirements for data security and privacy.
- Implement robust monitoring, logging, and incident response processes.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Partner with stakeholders across Operations, Finance, and Account Management to translate business needs into technical solutions.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Experience:
- 6+ years in software engineering, with at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial role.
- Proven experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), microservices architecture, and API development.
- Familiarity with healthcare or revenue cycle management systems is a plus.
- Skills:
- Strong proficiency in modern programming languages (e.g., Python, Java).
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
