Chief Strategy Officer
As Chief Strategy Officer, Patrick Dunn plays an integral role in expanding the Hansei Solutions footprint nationwide and realizing the company’s vision to transform revenue cycle management through better technology.
A seasoned behavioral health executive with a proven track record of transformational growth, Patrick is especially skilled at business development, R&D, software implementation and M&A. He brings both clinical development and operational development experience to Hansei, providing holistic guidance amid the company’s pivotal expansion in the behavioral health and surgical center spaces.
Much of Patrick’s passion for behavioral health stemmed from his own life experiences. He is in long-term recovery and uses his insights to help organizations improve their outcomes, create strong cultural foundations and move the industry forward. He is commonly sought out for his thought leadership, speaking at conferences nationwide on client engagement, treating co-occurring disorders, outpatient growth and sustaining culture during organizational growth.
Prior to joining Hansei in 2021, Patrick held executive-level positions and consulting roles with treatment and recovery organizations around the country, including JourneyPure, Sierra Tucson (Acadia), The Blanchard Institute, Landmark Recovery, Lapaloma and The Recovery Ranch (Promises). Under his leadership at JourneyPure, the treatment center grew from a quaint eight-bed facility to more than 300 beds and 400 employees within a few years. It ultimately became the leading provider of co-occurring services in the Southeast, expanding into four states, five residential centers and 17 outpatient centers. Additionally, Patrick drove the creation and implementation of JourneyPure’s premier aftercare software that allowed peer connection to clients throughout their first year of recovery. This was among numerous technological initiatives he spearheaded to collect and leverage data to influence rates and contracts with payors, EAPs and other organizations.
Patrick has clinical training and experience as a therapist treating mental health and substance abuse disorders. An avid horse enthusiast, he has consulted on equine therapy services for some of the leading treatment centers nationwide. His PhD abd with Capella University is focused on equine therapy with a co-occurring population in residential treatment.
